Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism Policy

IJELRS takes plagiarism very seriously. All submitted manuscripts are checked for originality using reputable plagiarism detection tools. Authors must ensure that their work is original, properly cited, and free from any form of plagiarism. The journal enforces a similarity threshold of less than 20%. Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • Copying text or ideas from another source without proper attribution.
  • Submitting a manuscript that has already been published elsewhere.
  • Using data or images from other works without permission or proper citation.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Ensure that all content is original and appropriately referenced.
  • Disclose any overlap with previous publications, including preprints.
  • Provide citations for any reused data, figures, or text.
  • Maintain similarity below 20% when checked by plagiarism detection tools.

Consequences of Plagiarism

If plagiarism is detected before or after publication, IJELRS will take appropriate action according to COPE guidelines, which may include:

  • Rejection of the manuscript during the review process.
  • Retraction of published articles.
  • Notification to the author's institution.

COPE Resources

For guidance on handling plagiarism, IJELRS follows the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors and editors are encouraged to review COPE flowcharts on plagiarism detection and management.
