Consent for Publication

For any manuscript submitted to International Journal of Education in Low-Resource Settings (IJELRS, CC BY) that includes identifiable information or images of an individual, authors must obtain written informed consent from the person featured. In cases involving children under the age of 18, consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian. The consent must specifically authorize the publication of these details under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0).

If the individual has deceased, consent must be obtained from their next of kin. The manuscript must clearly state that written informed consent for publication has been secured.

Authors may use the journal’s standard consent form or an equivalent form issued by their institution or local authority, provided that it includes a declaration acknowledging that the information or images will be published online and made available to the general public. Editors may request access to the signed consent forms, which will be kept confidential.
