Duplicate Submission
When submitting a manuscript to the International Journal of Education in Low-Resource Settings (IJELRS), authors must confirm that the manuscript is not simultaneously under review or consideration by another journal. Submitting or publishing the same work in multiple venues is generally considered unethical publishing behavior and may be treated as academic misconduct. This policy also applies to manuscripts that have been published previously in another language.
In certain cases, a secondary publication, such as a translated version of an article, may be considered acceptable. However, authors must first obtain formal permission from the original publisher and copyright holder. Authors must also inform the Editor of IJELRS about the publication history of the original work at the time of submission.
If a translated or secondary version is approved for publication, the manuscript must clearly indicate that it is a translated or republished version of a previously published article. An appropriate citation and full reference to the original publication must also be provided to ensure transparency and proper acknowledgment.
