Information for Authors

1. Scope of Manuscripts
The International Journal of Education in Low-Resource Settings (IJELRS) publishes original research articles and scholarly studies related to education, particularly in low-resource or developing contexts. Manuscripts must be written in English and prepared using the journal template.

2. Author Information
The names of all authors must be written without academic titles and placed below the article title. Authors must include their institutional affiliation, country, and a valid correspondence e-mail address. In multi-author manuscripts, all communication will be conducted with the corresponding author.

3. Manuscript Format
Manuscripts should be prepared using the following format:

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font size: 12 pt
  • Line spacing: 1.5
  • Paper size: A4
  • Length: 5–15 pages including tables, figures, and references

Research articles submitted to IJELRS should follow the structure below:

  • Title
  • Author(s) and Affiliation
  • Abstract (150–250 words)
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  • Introduction
  • Method
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion

5. References
References should primarily come from recent scholarly sources. Authors are encouraged to cite literature published within the last 10 years. A minimum of 20 references is recommended, with most references originating from peer-reviewed journal articles.

6. Citation Style
All citations and references must follow the APA (American Psychological Association) 7th Edition style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

7. Submission Requirements
To increase the chances of publication, manuscripts must meet the following requirements:

  • Follow the official journal template
  • Use the IMRAD structure (Introduction, Method, Results, and Discussion)
  • Apply proper citation and referencing using APA 7th edition
  • Ensure the manuscript is free from plagiarism
Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be rejected during the initial editorial screening.

8. Peer Review Process
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise in the relevant field. Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts according to reviewers’ comments and editorial recommendations.

9. Editorial Decision
The editorial board reserves the right to accept, request revisions, or reject submitted manuscripts. The final decision will be communicated to the corresponding author via the journal submission system.

10. Copyright and Responsibility
Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts do not infringe any copyright, intellectual property rights, or ethical standards. Any legal consequences related to the content of the manuscript remain the responsibility of the authors.

11. Publication Fee
Authors whose manuscripts are accepted for publication are required to pay the Article Processing Charge (APC) according to the journal policy. Details regarding publication fees can be found on the Author Fees page.
